GRAPELAND, Texas (KTRE) - The Grapeland Sandies lost the first two games of the season, but since then, they have rattled off five straight wins and sit in a tie for first place in District 11-2A Division II. Grapeland head coach Jordan Wood spoke with KTRE sports director Colten Sneed on the Red Zone Preview show.

Wood said the team has stayed the course this season.

"Our goal was to get better every single week and we knew our kids were tough. We knew our kids were coachable and they kept doing that, and we kept getting better week to week. And so it's finally starting to pay off," Wood said.
