Monday's torrential rains in San Antonio have closed roads, delayed school openings and left CPS Energy customers without power.
A total of 2. 59 inches of rain was recorded at San Antonio International Airport as of press time - a new record for June 15.
The previous record of 1. 68 inches for this calendar day was set in 1894, according to the Express-News.
