The city of New Braunfels' public works department is seeking public opinion for street maintenance projects in the coming 2026-2027 fiscal year.

According to a press release, the city allocates funds each year for street maintenance projects, and as budget discussions begin, residents are invited to give input on which of the city's 977 lane miles of road needs to be addressed in the coming year.

Approximately $2. 1 million was allocated last year to fund more than 25 roadway maintenance projects, ranging from preventative maintenance to complete roadway rehabilitation.
