LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - The City of Lubbock, in partnership with Texas Tech University, will host the 2026 Citywide Back-2-School Bash on Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center, at 1501 Mac Davis Lane.

This free, family-friendly event will provide 8,000 K-12 students with clear backpacks and basic school supplies.

Backpacks will be distributed on a first come, first served basis while supplies last.
