WOOD COUNTY, Texas (KLTV) - An Alba man is behind bars after deputies say he admitted to shooting his wife through a wall while she was in the bathroom, according to an affidavit obtained after the man's arrest.

Ricardo Gonzalez-Aguirre, 40, was held Friday at the Wood County Jail on a $1 million bond for a warrant charging him with murder, according to jail records.

An affidavit states deputies originally responded to a reported suicide in the 100 block of County Road 1689 in Wood County.
