LONGVIEW, Texas (KLTV) - Theatre Longview will open its summer musical production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma! on Friday, July 31, at 7:30 p.m. at the Longview Community Center.

About the productionDirector Stephen Rainwater said Oklahoma! is considered the "quintessential all-American classic musical" in the musical theater world.

The show is set at the turn of the century as the state of Oklahoma is on the verge of joining the Union.
