WACO, Texas (KWTX) - A seven-time convicted felon with ties to a prison gang was sentenced to 70 years in prison Tuesday in the sexual abuse of a 10-year-old girl seven years ago.

A 19th State District Court jury of eight men and four women deliberated about two hours before sentencing 46-year-old Chad Everrett Chisholm, a parolee who will soon begin his sixth trip to prison, to 30 years on Count 1 and 40 years on Count 2.

Chad Everrett Chisholm(McLennan County Jail)Judge Thomas West ordered Chisolm, the father of six children, to serve the terms consecutively, stacking them for a total of 70 years.
