The Youth Theatre arm of Playhouse 2000, Kerrville's Community Theater, has announced the cast for its next production, a pair of spy-story spoofs to be presented in the VK Garage Theater on Oct. 2, 3 and 4.

An homage to the hilarious television satire "Get Smart" will be paired with the curtain-raiser "Too Many Detectives." Comedy genius Mel Brooks created "Get Smart," a wacky satire that featured the antics of Maxwell Smart, the accident-prone Agent 86 for the fictional intelligence agency CONTROL, in its battle with the forces of the evil KAOS.

Christopher Sergel adapted this laugh-out-loud spoof, which follows the bumbling Smart as he struggles to foil KAOS's sinister plot to blow up the Statue of Liberty.
