SHARONVILLE, Ohio (WXIX/Gray News) - A police lieutenant was indicted Tuesday after he allegedly used Flock camera systems to track a person for personal reasons.

Sharonville Police Lt. Walter Cordes, 48, was charged with unauthorized use of a computer, cable, or telecommunications property after he used the Flock camera system 29 times between Dec. 19, 2024, and April 20, 2026, to track a person's whereabouts for "reasons unrelated to law enforcement," according to Hamilton County Prosecutor Connie Pillich."When technology is misused, it undermines public trust and the important work being done by law enforcement officers every day," Pillich said.

In June, prosecutors said Cordes self-reported during a department audit of the system and admitted to conducting the searches.
