LONGVIEW, Texas (KLTV) - A hotel manager and her employees at the Holiday Inn Express off Interstate 20 in East Texas are running an outreach program funded entirely by staff donations and community contributions, providing free food, water, clothing and backpacks to people in need.

Hotel manager Donna Biggs said the effort began after a man came into the hotel asking for water."A gentleman that walked in and said: Can I please have some water? And just the expression and the humility that it took - and I could see it," Biggs said.

"And I said: We have to do something!"From a bottle of water to a full operationBiggs said the program started small."It started with a bottle of water, then something off my breakfast bar, and then it turned into making a plate to go," she said.
