In a reversal of agreements made during budget talks, Guadalupe County Commissioners Court on Tuesday voted down shortening the amount of time employees need to receive longevity pay.

During an extensive process to approve a 2027 budget, members of the court decided to offer longevity compensation to employees on the job six months or longer.

They reversed the action at a regular meeting Tuesday by a 3-2 vote.
