Thousands of CenterPoint Energy customers are without power Saturday afternoon as storms continue to move through the Houston area.

CenterPoint's outage tracker reported nearly nearly 17,000 customers impacted by outages around 2 p.m. Saturday.

The number has since dropped significantly, at 1,005 customers without power across 76 outages as of 2:10 p.m. The largest concentration of outages are being reported in the southwest Houston region.
