HOUSTON - The WNBA is officially returning to Houston.

The league announced Wednesday that WNBA and NBA owners unanimously approved the sale of the Connecticut Sun and the team's relocation to Houston ahead of the 2027 season.

The franchise is being sold by the Mohegan Tribe to Houston Rockets owner Tilman Fertitta.
