TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - The Junior League of Tyler is accepting applications for its Community Coordinating Grants through Sept. 4, with eligible nonprofits competing for funding that stays within Smith County.

To qualify, organizations must be registered 501(c) nonprofits with an active board of directors and must align with at least one of the league's priority areas: children, women, the aging population, education or the environment.

How grants are awardedLast year, the league awarded more than $460,000 across eight nonprofit partners.
