Comment0BELL COUNTY, Texas (KWTX) - The Bell County Public Health District held a public meeting for food vendors to learn about the new statewide food vendor permitting law that takes effect July 1.

The Bell County Public Health District is one of now 20 county health districts partnering with the state to handle inspections and help with the transition to the new food truck permitting law.

Dozens of food vendors attended the meeting where they were able to learn what they are now required to do."It's important that they know what's coming and what's going to take effect July 1st. Keeping our community first and foremost with the education that we can provide them before it takes place, empowers them to know what they are expected to do," said Jennifer Holley, director of retail food division at the Bell County Public Health District.
