Center Point's plan to run the ball right at La Pryor showed up well at game's end to the tune of 226 yards, but La Pryor's ability to balance its offense by ground and air eventually broke through the Pirates' defense Saturday, resulting in a 50-13 defeat for Center Point in District 14-2A Division II football action.

Pace Davis rushed for 121 yards, Connor Holt had 81, and Johnny Martinez managed 24 in a game where Center Point (2-3, 0-2) trailed just 14-7 at halftime.

Holt caught six passes for 19 yards.
