The FAA is investigating after a business jet took off without clearance at New York City's LaGuardia Airport while a Delta regional flight was about to land on an intersecting runway -- forcing the Delta flight to perform a go-around last week.

It happened on Oct. 7 just before 4 p.m. According to data from Flightradar24, the two aircraft were about 1,000 feet apart at their closest points.

The Delta regional plane was going about 147 mph before the plane pulled back up and went around and the business jet was going about 103 mph.
