Authorities are searching for a suspect after a woman reported being attacked while she was exercising along White Oak Bayou in the Inwood area Monday evening.

The Harris County Pct. 1 Constable's Office said they got the call around 6:30 p.m. The woman reportedly told deputies she had fought off a stranger who attacked her and sexually assaulted her along the bayou.

The woman told authorities the man tried to drown her, but she managed to escape and found her way to Precinct 1 deputies.
