SNYDER, Texas (July 8, 2026) - The Scurry County Sheriff's Office has identified the individual found deceased along the shoreline of Lake J.B. Thomas last month as 22-year-old Aryan Holmes of Big Spring.

In a press release issued Wednesday, officials said the identification follows the completion of an investigation and autopsy.

Authorities reported that no evidence of foul play was discovered in connection with Holmes' death.
