It was an emotional morning at Thursday's Comal County Commissioners Court meeting as elected officials and department heads said goodbye to County Administrator Tom Hornseth, a pillar of county operations who has retired after more than 30 years.

Comal County Administrator Tom Hornseth was gifted a key to the courthouse on the occasion of his retirement.

County staff and elected officials honored Hornseth's dedication to the county with a proclamation and decree, a key to the courthouse and by naming the county engineer's office the Thomas H. Hornseth Comal County Engineer's Office.
