LAREDO, Tex.
(KGNS) - As screwworm cases are reported in parts of Texas, public health officials say quick access to medical care is key to preventing infection.
Human cases remain rare, but people experiencing homelessness can be more vulnerable to infections because even small wounds can quickly worsen.
