TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - Families got a head start on summer learning as Tyler ISD's Title I Parent Center launched its first-ever "STEM in the Park" series Tuesday, offering hands-on science activities designed for students.
Students rotated through stations dissecting flowers to learn about pollination, conducting waterproofing experiments and other activities at Emmett J. Scott Park.
"It is absolutely important because we get to engage with the parents," said Mariela Zuniga, a family engagement specialist for the district.
