In honor of the 25th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks, the Kerrville-based veterans' group Gunny's Warriors is hosting its fourth annual Flags of Honor from Friday, Sept. 11, to Sunday, Sept. 13, at the Hill Country Youth Event Center, 3785 Texas 27 in Kerrville.

The field of 500 American flags, perfectly lined, with cards of remembrance or thanks attached to each, will be open to the public until sunset Sunday, Sept. 13.

Each flag was purchased by an individual or organization to remember a "personal hero.".
