WHITEHOUSE, Texas (KLTV) - The Whitehouse ISD Education Foundation surprised 37 district teachers with grants for special classroom projects Monday.

Chad Hutchins, vice president of grants for the foundation, said the grants cover projects that may not be funded through the district."These are all the things that may not be funded through the district, but these extra things that teachers go above and beyond at Whitehouse and are wanting to do, these special projects that they couldn't normally do," Hutchins said.

"And so that's what the foundation is for, is finding those new, creative, innovative projects that through our community partners and people that are donating the money for this, they can get that into the classroom through this method."The foundation's Surprise Patrol delivered the news in person.
