The Boerne Little League team is one round away from playing at the Little League World Series after they won the Texas West State championship tournament last weekend in Abilene.

Boerne advances to the Southwest Regional Tournament, set to begin Aug., 6, in Waco.

After dropping its second- round game at state, Boerne had to win the next one to avoid elimination.
