WACO, Texas (KWTX) - Hotel 1928, the Waco property owned by Chip and Joanna Gaines, has received its first Michelin Key award, according to a social media statement.

Joanna Gaines announced the recognition calling the hotel one of the couple's biggest "fixer upper" projects after what she described as a surprise purchase by Chip Gaines.

Joana Gaines thanked the Michelin Guide, the Magnolia and Hotel 1928 teams.
