PRESIDIO, Texas (KOSA) - An emergency motion filed yesterday is seeking to block construction of a border wall in Presidio.

A lawsuit filed against the Department of Homeland Security alleges that plans for a border wall in the area would run directly through a levee that keeps the Rio Grande from flooding into Presidio.

Experts cited in the lawsuit warn that replacing the levee with rigid concrete could alter how flood water moves, increase erosion at the levee's base and cause structural damage during extreme weather.
