SHERMAN, Texas (KXII) - The Grayson County Sheriff's Office is asking drivers and parents to pay attention to children on Halloween, and the sheriff's and district attorney's offices say there will be an increase in enforcement to keep drunk drivers off the streets.

Capt. Jeremy Cox of the Grayson County Sheriff's Office said drivers and adults should watch for children in the area."Make sure that you're paying attention to your children or the children that could be in the area. It doesn't take much for a kid to get really excited about candy and they start darting out between cars," Cox said.

The sheriff's office said children should be visible in the dark, whether through a costume or a light-up accessory."Either reflective or lights up on its own, like a chem light or a necklace that glows or flashes," Cox said.
