The city of New Braunfels will hold a public hearing on Sept. 24 regarding an application to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for the Outdoor Recreation Legacy Partnership (ORLP) program for fiscal year 2027.

The hearing will take place at 1 p.m. at the Fischer Park Nature Education Center, located at 1946 Monarch Way.

The grant program is intended to support the creation of new outdoor recreation opportunities, revitalize parks and strengthen connections between residents and nature, a press release stated.
