New Braunfels Utilities presented desired amendments to Chapter 130, Article IV, Divisions 3, 5, 6 and 7 of the City's Code of Ordinances related to their drought contingency plan during a special session of the New Braunfels City Council on July 20.

CEO of NBU Ryan Kelso said the plan has been in place since 2006, being modified over time, and is one of two plans the company uses to manage drought, the other being the Water Conservation Plan.

"We feel it is necessary to make a few more tweaks to it to make it even better," Kelso said.
