It was quite a week for the Boerne Little League or Texas West baseball team.

After the Little League tournament committee disqualified Oklahoma for using an ineligible player, it was decided that Monday's semifinal game between Boerne and Louisiana would be for the Southwest Region title and the winner would advance to this year's Little League World Series in Pennsylvania.

Oklahoma ( Tulsa National Little League) had won the "sit-out" game on Sunday and was waiting to play the winner of the Texas West - Louisiana on Tuesday, but they were disqualified, leaving Monday's game as the title tilt instead of a semis game.
