A quarantine has been established in parts of Webb County and neighboring areas due to a confirmed New World Screwworm Infested Zone.

The Texas Animal Health Commission (TAHC) has identified La Salle, Uvalde, Webb, and Zavala counties as affected regions.

As part of the quarantine measures, all warm-blooded animals within the designated zone are prohibited from leaving the zone without prior authorization from TAHC.
