TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - The Tyler City Council approved $18. 5 million in wastewater contracts Tuesday in an effort to improve the city's aging infrastructure.
Councilmembers approved the four projects under the city's federal consent decree with the Environmental Protection Agency, which will repair aging lines and add capacity to Tyler's sewer system.
The council awarded the largest contract, $8. 76 million, to J&L Construction for improvements in Group 3 Basin 14.
