Thousands of coffee makers were recalled because the devices may get clogged and cause hot liquid or steam to build up and release unexpectedly during use, posing a severe injury or burn risk.
Consumer Product Safety Commission officials stated in a recall notice that they are aware of roughly 107 reports of the coffee makers releasing hot liquid or steam, resulting in about 27 reported injuries, including first and second-degree burns that required medical treatment.
