Brown County Commissioners Court members accepted the resignation Wednesday of Precinct 4 Constable Michael Isbell, who said he is stepping down effective June 30 due to family health issues.

Isbell has been in office since January 2021.

Before acting on Isbell's resignation, commissioners first took up the issue of the burn ban and agreed it will remain off.
