LPD makes arrest in fatal smuggling case after victim jumped from moving truck

A 20-year-old man was arrested in connection with a fatal human smuggling incident in South Laredo where a victim died after jumping from a moving truck.

LAREDO, Tex.

(KGNS) - A 20-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a fatal incident in which a man died after jumping from a moving truck in South Laredo.

Laredo Police Department CAPERS investigators arrested Mark Anthony Sanchez, 20, Tuesday night, July 21, and charged him with Smuggling of Persons Felony 1 and Smuggling of Persons Felony 3, according to LPD.
