MONT BELVIEU, Texas (KTRK) -- When a Baytown mother of two was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in October 2020, her world changed in an instant.

Alana Gill said doctors told her the disease carried an estimated 85% mortality rate, forcing her to confront a future she never imagined.

"For so long I was so busy taking care of everybody else, I didn't exactly take care of myself," Gill admits.
