Fed up with recurring internet reliability issues, the Pleasanton City Council has formally demanded that Spectrum provide financial relief and infrastructure upgrades to local customers.

In an official letter dated July 15, 2026, and addressed to Spectrum Regional Vice President Chris Snyder, the mayor and all six council members took aim at the provider following years of intermittent service problems.

"The residents and businesses of Pleasanton deserve a level of reliability and service that has not been consistently provided to date," the council wrote.
