MOUNT PLEASANT, Texas (KLTV) - Kincade Henry has been consistently ranked in the top five in Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association world competition in tie-down roping, and his path to the top started at Josey Ranch in Harrison County."I think the first time I was here I was in diapers and I grew up here running around. As soon as I was old enough to swing a rope, I was enrolled in the school," Henry said.

Henry says there was a four-year stretch during his childhood when he was barely roping at all - until one visit to the ranch changed everything."I was probably twelve or thirteen years old, like I said, we'd rope one time a year. And we came here and roped. It was so much fun, and I loved it so much that me and my sister and my brother, we got home and we asked our dad to buy us a couple calves for the summer," Henry said.

His father, who had a background in rodeo, agreed - and the family never looked back."We got back into it. So, if it wasn't for this school, or Miss Martha and Mr. R.E. I'm not sure what I'd be doing but I wouldn't be roping calves," Henry said.
