WACO, Texas (KWTX) - A Mart man was sentenced to 20 years in prison Monday after pleading guilty to reduced charges that he sexually abused a young family member for more than two years.
Joshua Tessmann, 36, pleaded guilty to two counts of indecency with a child by contact and was sentenced to concurrent 20-year and 10-year prison terms.
Joshua Tessmann(KWTX GRAPHIC)Under the terms of Tessmann's plea bargain, the McLennan County District Attorney's Office reduced Count 1 from a continuous sexual abuse of a young child charge, which carries a minimum of 25 years in prison and a maximum life term with no parole.
