NACOGDOCHES, Texas (KTRE) - Better Nacogdoches introduced collaboration grants to help local nonprofits build resources and serve more people in the community."Everyone in this room knows that we live in an area with high needs and low resources. We have all become experts in how to do a lot with a little," said Catie Mungia, executive director of Better Nacogdoches.

Mungia said the grants put that shared challenge to work."If we build an infrastructure of collaboration, then we could work more effectively and more efficiently serving more people in our community in even more impactful ways," Mungia said.

Eleven grant recipients gathered to share outcomes from their funded work, covering areas including local arts, substance use resources, and housing care.
