CANYON, Texas (KFDA) - After a decade of leadership and service to West Texas A&M University, President Walter Wendler has announced his retirement.

His retirement will be effective September 1.

That will be 10 years to the day after he was appointed to the presidency."Universities earn confidence the right way, through clarity of mission, responsible stewardship and service to the public good," said Wendler.
