Two people died in a fiery two-vehicle crash on I-69 near Beltway 8 in northeast Houston on Thursday afternoon, causing southbound lane closures for several hours.

Two people died in a fiery 2-vehicle crash on I-69 this afternoon in northeast Houston.

HPD tells us that it happened around 4:45 p.m. near Beltway 8.

The crash involved a heavy truck and a passenger vehicle.
