SOUTHMAYD, Texas (KXII) - A Southmayd police officer saved a 2-year-old girl who was choking and unresponsive during his overnight shift on Tuesday.
Around 1:00 a.m. on Tuesday morning, Officer Scott Barrett responded to a call about a child named Paisley who was not breathing.
Paisley's grandmother, Sherry Steward, said she realized immediately something was wrong."It's like she's convulsing, so I run and get her and she's solid purple and I realized she's choking," Steward said.
