DENISON, Texas (KXII) - 250 years of America means two-and-a-half centuries of service and sacrifice.

There's no better time to pay respects, and what better way than a permanent tribute.

Since Denison built its Dwight D. Eisenhower monument, families have been able to buy a brick to be laid around Ike's bust, honoring those who have served, and continue to serve."The bricks were sold to give people a way to contribute, and to fill a part of the monument, and to be a part of the monument," said Denison Main Street Director Donna Dow.
