Motorists traveling along Birdwell Lane should prepare for construction activity and possible traffic delays beginning today as the City of Big Spring launches the first phase of a street repair project.

According to the city, Phase 1 of the project will focus on Birdwell Lane from FM 700 to East 11th Place.

Crews will be working to repair sections of the roadway in an effort to improve safety, drivability and the long-term condition of the street.
