Smaller cities around Texas metro areas were the fastest growing cities in the United States last year, according to data released by the U.S. Census Bureau Thursday.

Celina was the fastest growing city in the U.S. last year among cities and towns with more than 20,000 people from mid-2024 to mid-2025.

The city's population increased by 24. 6% to 64,427. The addition of 12,710 residents outpaced larger Texas cities like Houston.
