Plant-based meats recalled over possible plastic in the nuggets and patties

MorningStar Farms recalled two of its plant-based products over concerns that the frozen food items may have pieces of plastic in them.

What we know: The recall covers 10. 5-ounce Buffalo Chik'n Nuggets packages and 8-ounce Hot & Spicy Sausage Patties that were sold in the United States, Puerto Rico, and Costa Rica, according to its parent company Kellanova.

The food giant noted that none of the other MorningStar Farms products were included in the recall.
