Kerrville Realtor and first-time author Beckie Striegler will hold a book-signing event for her travel memoir, "Finding Home an Ocean Away: An Accidental Love Affair with Ireland," on Saturday, Oct. 31, from 10 a.m. to noon at Lift Coffee Co., located at 200 Texas 39 in Ingram.

The event will give local readers an opportunity to meet Striegler, learn more about the story behind the book and purchase a signed copy.

Published Sept. 8, "Finding Home an Ocean Away" tells how a lifelong fascination with Ireland and one unexpectedly affordable trip grew into nine journeys filled with ancient ruins, narrow country roads, memorable friendships, family adventures and the occasional questionable travel decision.
