Kerr County commissioners spent much of Monday's meeting locked in an unresolved fight over oversight of the county's volunteer fire departments, while a separate debate over Confederate imagery at the county's Memorial Day ceremony ended with commissioners told they have no legal authority to intervene.
Two closely watched items - creation of a County Elections Administrator and an appeal of a FEMA denial on flood-related autopsy costs - were tabled and did not come up for discussion.
